Across the Generations... Chapter 1

Almost ten years ago my dad would go to the gym and spin.  He’d come home and talk about this vibrant, young spin instructor.  Around Christmas 2014, my dad started speaking to my mom and me about joining a local gym, however I must ask if Briana still worked there. So my mom and I signed up, excited to find Briana still there.  I started taking her spin classes, and then one day I told my dad I would like to train with her.  At first I was really nervous, however Briana started asking me questions I had never asked myself about what I wanted out of training.  She knew it had been a long time since I had worked out.  After our first session, I felt great, and sore!

I love Briana.  She is more than a trainer.  She is like a life coach. She genuinely wants to help people.  It’s not about the paycheck for her.

The day I realized the kind of person Briana was, she took me outside, taught me how to run, AND how to prepare for a half marathon…  She ran the race with me every step of the way.  She believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself.

That race produced one of my favorite posts:

"Coming off the great high of my life!  Never in a million years did I think I’d ever be posting a picture with a running number on this Bod.  Completed the Fairfield Half Marathon (June 2015) and could not have done it without the coaching and support of Briana Walegir.  My life has been changed forever!… And a big heck yea to my runner orgasm!"
